MEMORY RECALL & GENERATIVE ART

The Muse Project explores reflective rituals grounded in art therapy techniques. Journaling is a lost art, and our culture is losing a reflective practice that prompted introspection, reflection, and mindfulness. MUSE is a speculative concept to explore alternatives for introspection in the digital age.

Designing a reflective ritual from the ground up entails  fostering a sense of personal engagement. In this case it involves  'painting' with emotions or articulating through vocalization. Subsequently, individuals can opt to preserve their creations in tangible formats as instant photos, or curate a digital art collection.

Analog controls are used to guide users through emotional categorization and recall, which prompts a deeper understanding of experiences. Tools are based on principles of art therapy.

First, users categorize their experiences as positive or negative (+ or -), then users describe experiences as having high or low energy. Next, the emotional intensity is ranked on a slider.

Users then take on more artistic autonomy by dialing-in artwork fidelity settings that are based on current midjourney controls.
